BFA Jewelry + Metalsmithing

Theory + History of Art + Design

My name is Jacqueline Moon; my friends call me Jackie.
My journey started in Seoul, Korea, where I was born. An unexpected turn of events took me to Singapore at the age of 9. After middle school, I returned to Seoul, only to find myself later in Providence, Rhode Island, for college. Through these changes in life, one constant kept me anchored: a deep passion for art and creativity.

I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Jewelry + Metalsmithing with a concentration on Theory + History of Art + Design from Rhode Island School of Design. The decision behind my major was as unpredictable as my life had been. I had initially planned on majoring in Painting, the medium I enjoyed and was most experienced in. However, after Foundational Studies, I became intrigued not just by creating art but by exploring art curation, direction, and gallery operations. Seeking a challenge, I embraced Jewelry and Metalsmithing as my new path.

I may not have a clear roadmap--I'm not sure where I will be for the next 5, 10, 20 years--but my unconventional childhood taught me adaptability, courage in the face of the unknown, and an openness to all that art and life have to offer.

Currently ased in Seoul, I am a project manager at o-un.
